We just finished watching and discussing the last set of videos from Class Dojo!! These videos teach children about how they learn (growth mindset), persevering in difficult situations (ask your child about being in "The Dip"), and empathy (understanding the feelings of others). If you want to watch these short videos with your child (and maybe have some conversations with them about the content) please follow the links below:

Today, I passed out the Book Review schedules for November (and a 4x6 index card for both classes) to all the students. Please note that November is a short month (no school on Tuesday the 8th, Friday the 11th, and Thanksgiving Week: 11/21-11/25). We will be starting reviews on Wednesday, November 16th and finishing up by the 30th. We have a whole week for Thanksgiving (first time ever!!) which will fall in the middle of our presentation schedule. You can download the schedules below, just in case something happens to your child's copy.
Just as a reminder, I am posting the schedule we sent home to students a couple of weeks ago for September. I am also posting the October schedules (with the directions/criteria) and will be sending home a paper copy to students on Friday.
Thank you to all the parents/families that have sign up with Class Dojo!! I sent home the parent codes on Thursday with your child. ClassDojo is a fantastic tool for parent-teacher communication and helps helps track classroom behavior. Occasionally, I'll post photos and videos of some of the happenings in our classes in the section called Class Story. I'll even use the Messages section to send out whole class messages to parents or individual ones to selected parents. Parents may also send messages via the ClassDojo app. Parents can expect a response to a message Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Dear Fourth Grade Parents,
Thank you to everyone who was able to make it to Open House on Thursday night! I was a pleasure to meet you all and I wish we could have had more time to speak individually about your child. Your kindness and support are truly appreciated! Thank you for making me feel so welcome here at Nate Mack!
Please don't forget to click on our link to provide 4th grade with your contact information at this link: Parent Contact Information
